How to Have a Clean Shower: Soft Scrub Mold & Mildew Giveaway

I noticed the nozzle on the bottle had a stream sprayer and an area sprayer on the nozzle of the Soft Scrub Bottle. I used the area spray and sprayed the entire shower to clean it. I left it on there for a while to soak in and remove the mildew. I think this product worked really well

My uncle passed away this past weekend. I went to his funeral this Tuesday, so I have been in a bit of a writing slump. I was able to try the new Dial soap for kids. I received the peachy clean scent from Dial to use while Little Face takes his bath. He just loves to play at bath time so much. We even used a little of the Dial as a bubble bath for him to play with the bubbles. I just love when he smells so clean. We like to snuggle on the couch. He doesn’t know it, but I am smelling his hair and just enjoying being with the little guy especially if he smells so good.

I used the Dial Body and Hair wash for both cleaning his skin as well as his hair. I am starting to teach him how to give himself a bath. So he can make bubbles all by himself with the body wash. When I wash his hair with the Peachy clean body wash, I like to make it as bubbly as I can. Then I scoop all those bubbles off the top of his head and give them to him to play with. He likes that they float on the top of the water and, in true boy fashion, smashes them. He is all boy sometimes.

Living Green With the Little Green Pouch

In honor of Earth day I wanted to be living green, and I was able to try this awesome Little Green Pouch. Let me tell you why I just love this product and I think everyone with small kids should get these especially if you try living green with less waste. Simply fill with your own yogurt, applesauce or baby food this this little portable, washable pouch.

We had fun filling these Little Green Pouches with all kinds of goodies at my home. I love to make homemade yogurt. I made my strawberry yogurt and put this into the pouches for my kids. For Little Miss, my 11 year old, I called them drinkable yogurt, so she could drink them and not be embarrassed, since these were not in some cutesy container. We also filled them with homemade applesauce, which Little Face just loved. They both enjoyed taking them to school and eating with their lunches.

The opening at the top makes them easy to fill with whatever you like. Simply just use a spoon or you could even use a funnel. They hold up to 7oz of food. Put in a little or as much as you would like. Once they are used up, rinse them out and then put them in the dishwasher for easy clean up. They are dishwasher safe. I just have to say yes this is a great green product.

Ended – Awesome Guacamole Recipes and Salsa Recipes + Giveaway

The Thursday morning before Blissdom, I was able to spend some time with a very talented chef from the Hungry YouTube Chanel, Alex Thomopoulus and a bunch of my bloggy friends. Wholly Guacamole sponsored the event, where we were able to prepare fabulous dishes with a star chef. Many of the recipe featured used Wholly Guacamole and Wholly Salsa products. We had a great time making all kinds of dishes.

Alex provided us with a lot of great recipes to share. She even has a great Gluten FREE flour mix. This closely resembles the same quality as wheat flour. You can make this ahead of time and keep it in the fridge to use whenever a recipe calls for flour. This gluten free mix is even great for making cupcakes! I can’t wait to share this with you today.

I was in a group where we made Sweet Potato Gnocchi with a buttered sage sauce. These little Gnocchi were like eating little pillows in your mouth. They just seemed to melt as I started to eat them. Ingredients for Sweet Potato Gnocchi
2 pounds sweet potatoes
2/3 cup reduced-fat ricotta cheese
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 1/4 cups Alex’s AP Gluten Free Blend (recipe below)
Parmesan cheese, for garnish

Sage Brown Butter Sauce:
1 stick unsalted butter
Salt and pepper, to taste
15 sage leaves
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon maple syrup

Alex’s AP Gluten Free Blend:
2 1/2 cups brown rice flour
2 cups sorghum flour
1 1/3 cups tapioca starch
1/2 cup potato starch
1 1/2 cups sweet rice flour
2/3 cups cornstarch
4 teaspoons xanthan gum

Gluten Free Pasta Sweet Potato Gnocchi

I think this Southwest Frittata will go well with my family. We love egg dishes and this was really simple to make and tasted fabulous.

Frittata with guacamole and salsa

 

2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 zucchini, thinly sliced into rounds (I would shred, so my kids would eat it)
1 cup corn tortilla chips, lightly crushed
1 dozen eggs
1 tablespoon water
1/4 cup Wholly Salsa® Medium dip, plus extra to serve
1/2 cup manchego cheese, shredded
Kosher salt and ground black pepper, to taste
3 scallions, chopped, to serve
Wholly Guacamole® Home-style dip, to serve
Sour cream, to serve

DIRECTIONS:

1.  Preheat oven to 350F.
2.Preheat a 9-inch cast-iron skillet or other ovenproof skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil and swirl to coat the surface of the pan.
3.Add onions, season with salt and pepper and cook until soft and golden brown. Add the zucchini and tortilla chips and cook another 2 minutes until both have softened. Remove from heat.
4.In a large bowl whisk together eggs, water, Wholly Salsa® Medium dip, salt and pepper. Pour egg mixture into the skillet and stir to evenly distribute the vegetables and tortilla chips. Sprinkle the Manchego cheese over the egg mixture and place in oven to bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the eggs set, the frittata puffs and turns golden brown. Remove from the oven, slice and serve with scallions, Wholly Guacamole® Home-style dip, Wholly Salsa® Medium dip and sour cream on the side.
Finally there was a Bloody Mary cocktail made with Wholly Salsa. I was surprised how easy this was to make this many fabulous looking cocktail this fast. This would be a wonderful idea for a party. These could be already made and ready to go when the guests arrive.

Sibu Facial Cleanser with Omega 7 Review and Giveaway

Sibu facial cleanser made from sea buckthorn high in Omega 7. Little Miss is into those preteen years. She is starting to have more acne as her little body is maturing into a young women. Therefore, she needs to take a little more time in keeping her skin clean. I am trying to instill good hygiene habits early, so she will not have problems in a few years. She was excited to try this new facial cleanser from Sibu for a week with me. We were so excited to try new beauty care products together.

First we washed our face each morning and night with the cleanser. Little Miss’s face is a little more oilier than mine and her skin is more sensitive than mine. I thought she would be a great person to help me sample this facial cleanser.  She said it felt good to wash her face with Sibu facial cleanser. We both liked the little micro beads that gently scrubbed our face as we washed. As an older women I like anything that gently exfoliates my skin, especially on my face. After a week our faces were clean and smooth. Overall I would recommend this product.

Dial Coconut Body Wash: Review and Giveaway

The sweet smell of coconut always reminds me of the beach. While I was trying this new Coconut Body Wash from Dial, all I could think about was how I can’t wait until summer is here. Being in the pool, laying on the beach and just soaking up some rays. We have had one more cold -freezing front come through Texas once again. While I was taking my hot shower with Dial I would close my eyes and dream of summer.
I don’t know about you, but I do like to change my soaps with the seasons. I like coconut and citrus during the summer. These scents just make me happy. It may be because it is so cold and I am just dreaming about the warm sunshine.
